Our Youth Development Program (YDP) is for our younger athletes.
The program is a developmental program, meaning the focus is on age
appropriate, soccer-specific, skill-building, fun, and fostering a passion for soccer.
All sessions are led by our professional training staff.
We also encourage parents to volunteer to assist our staff.
Sessions are generally Play - Practice - Play on weekday evenings and small-sided games on Saturday mornings.
The registration fee is $135
Please register by February 15, 2023
A late fee, $25 will begin March 4, 2023

Within the YDP registration, you will choose 1 weekday evening to attend and everyone plays on Saturday morning.
Your choice of weekdays is Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays for practice and your child will attend the same day each week.
The Kindergarten age group is scheduled for 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
field and weather conditions permitting.
The 1st and 2nd grade age group is scheduled for 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM
field and weather conditions permitting.
YDP is usually an 8-week program, with 16 sessions.
During the fall and spring, we have dates that we do not hold sessions due to other events. Those dates are indicated on the schedule.

During the fall, Due to three dates that we cannot schedule sessions due to holidays and other events where the fields are not available. We have added those sessions and included two extra dates. We will not be scheduling make-up dates on to the end as it most often becomes to cold.
The WHO
All area parents are welcome to register their children, kindergarten through second grade.
Ages 5 -8, Birth years 2016, 2015, 2014 (in 2nd grade)
The 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grade age groups may choose to register for recreational team play.
We also have a program for kids with differing abilities, TOPSoccer, and a Pre-Travel Program.
Pre-Travel and YDP registrants who are the birth year 2015 and up will be eligible to try out for a travel team for fall 2022.
Children born in 2016 will have the opportunity to try out to "play up" for next fall 2023. The following year they will be eligible to try out age-appropriate.
Tryouts will be held in Spring 2023 in April or May. The schedule will be posted on our website as it becomes available.

We encourage all parents who are interested in registering their children to register even if they do not know their schedule to date.
If you register and then need to adjust your schedule, please contact us and we will accommodate your request where possible if you cannot adjust your schedule for another event.

Session cancellations due to field and weather conditions will be emailed to all registrants.
We only send emails for cancellations.
We do not generally send emails indicating sessions will be held.
We do not answer individual emails concerning cancellations.
The WHERE
All sessions will be held at Laurel Acres Park fields 1 and 2, at the Union Mill entrance, field and weather conditions permitting.
The HOW
Equipment and Uniforms
We provide a jersey and socks. The player is expected to bring a size 3 or 4 ball, shin guards, and a water bottle.
All players must wear shin guards so that if they are kicked in the shins they are protected.
Most children will be wearing soccer cleats, however, they are optional.
Players may wear any dark-colored shorts or long pants and shirts under their jersey for warmth if required.
The open fields are often cooler, please dress for comfortable warmth.
We will distribute uniforms at the first few sessions.

Sports Eyewear Safety
Cancellation Policy; Refunds will be processed as requested prior to the start of the scheduled sessions, less $25 dollars to cover equipment and administrative costs.
Safer Soccer Protocol
Our association will be following Federal and NJ State guidelines concerning safety guidelines and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Safer Soccer Protocol below may be adjusted to follow CDC, State of NJ, and Federal guidelines at the time the program begins in the fall.
§ Those with a temperature of 100.4 degrees and above may not participate that day.
