Thank you to our volunteer parent, team managers! We could not have formed teams without you.
Recreation Team registration is open for the Spring 2023 season! We are looking for Parent volunteers to manage teams.
Our Recreational team program is geared towards children who want to enjoy and particpate in a fun sports activity. Our teams do not travel to play. They play in house teams who play other MLU teams.
Registrants in grades 3-6 are grouped for coed team play. Teams will practice one evening a week and play games on Saturday mornings with other MLU recreation teams.
Games will be played in a 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 or 7v7 format depending on player attendance. Games will be officiated by referees.
We need parent volunteer coaches for this age group. Volunteer coaches child plays with no charge for club registration. Free!
To run practices on one weeknight & games on Saturday mornings.
We will direct you to practice curriculum and a run through of game day procedures.
If you are interested in coaching a team please contact us, at [email protected] The teams are scheduled for an 8 game season depending on team, weather, and field conditions permitting. Uniforms are provided. Parents are responsible for cleats, shin-guards, and a size 4 soccer ball. Recreation teams do not travel to other clubs to participate in weekly games. Current carded travel soccer players may not register and play recreational soccer. Spring soccer participation is usually lower than fall soccer due to other spring sports. We may choose modified team formations and types of gameplay. We aim to make it fun!
