Developmental Pre-travel Program

Fall 2022 Registration 

The WHAT

     The Pre-travel program is a three day per week  option for birth years 2017,2016, 2015 ,1st grade & 2nd grade.

     Pre-Travel  and YDP registrants who are birth year 2017 and up  will be eligible to tryout for a travel team for fall 2023. 

     Children born 2017  will have the opportunity  to tryout to "play up" next fall.

     The following year they will be eligible to tryout for an age appropriate travel team.

     Travel teamTryouts will be held in the Spring 2023  in April or May for teams forming in the following fall.

physical activities .

We encourage all children to participate in mulitple sports as they desire

The WHEN
PRE -TRAVEL SCHEDULE


Pre-travel registration fee for Fall is $165 .
This Spring season we will schedule 8 weeks.
 24 sessions total, field and weather conditions permitting
Please Scroll to the bottom of the page and register by August 1st, 2022 to avoid late registration fee.
Registration closes August 8, 2022. 
Sessions begin the week of September 4, 2022.
We are offering your choice of 4 weekday evenings, and Saturday mornings.
Everyone attends game day on Saturday morning at 9am or 11am
During registration you will choose the two weekday evenings you want to attend. 
Total sessions per week 2 evenings and one Saturday morning.

KIndergarten, 2017 birth year evening sessions begin the week of September 4 , 6:00 pm to 6:45pm
Saturday session for birth year 2017 will begin at 9am and at 9:45am beginning September 10.

1st & 2nd grade, 2016 & 2015 birth years evening sessions beginning the week of September 4 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday sessions for birth years  2016 and 2015 , beginning at 11am , ending at 11:45 am. morning sessions begin  September 10  and  will be held at Laurel Acres Park 

There are no sessions scheduled on Labor Day, Memorial Day, Columbus Day Tournament, Saturday,October ,Fall Festival,September  Saturday,

     The WHERE

     All sessions will be held at  Laurel Acres Park fields 1 and 2, at the Union Mill entrance.

We ask that everyone make an effort to arrive on time as groups are formed for 3v3 and 4v4 and if you arrive late your child will need to be placed to a group where there is a spot open.

If your player cannot be there on time for any reason, we ask that you follow the direction below.

On Saturday mornings,if you arrive late, please have your player enter the field area ,on the corner of the field,
will be a trainer on that field to work with all the late arrivals or to integrate your player into a group.
Players being sent on to join a group of their choosing is often disruptive to the group and staff.

Please be mindful to drive slowly and be alert for soccer players as you park and leave the lot.
Be sure your player does not try to chase a ball through the parking lot.

     The HOW
Late registration fee will be applied to your order in the amount of $25.00  
beginning  August 1, 2022

Equipment & Uniforms
What do I need to purchase or bring along?

  We will provide a jersey and socks.
Players should be wearing shin guards and soccer cleats, bring a size 3 ball and a water bottle.


     Fees

     The registration fee is $165. 

     Late registration fee begins August 1 is $25.00

     Cancellation Policy

     Refunds will be processed as requested prior to the start of the scheduled sessions, less $25 dollars to cover equipment and administrative costs.



Safer Soccer Protocol
Our association will be following Federal and NJ State guidelines concerning safety guidelines and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic
The protocol below may change by the time the fall sessions begin and we will look at adjusting  at the time.
.
  • Those with a temperature of 100.4 degrees and above may not participate that day.
  • All sessions are outdoors for safer soccer
  • All parents should remain off the field of play and behind the signage on the field.

Developmental PreTravel Program


Our Pre-Travel program is for our younger athletes. The program is a developmental program, meaning the focus is on age

appropriate, soccer-specific, skill-building, fun, and fostering a passion for soccer.

All sessions are led by our professional training staff. We also encourage parents to volunteer to assist our staff.

Sessions are general practice and training and Saturday mornings, they practice and they play small-sided games according to the

curriculum. Pre-Travel is a pre-cursor to our Travel soccer program.

Within the registration, you will choose 2 weekday evenings and everyone plays on Saturday morning.

2017, the age group is scheduled for 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
 
The 2016 & 2015 age group is scheduled for 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM

Pre-Travel is usually an 8-week program, with 24 sessions. During the fall season, we have three dates that we do not hold sessions, as listed on the fall schedule.

Due to three dates we cannot schedule sessions due to holidays and other events where the fields are not available. We have added those sessions and included two extra dates. In the end, the program will run for 10 weeks and there are 26 sessions. We will not be scheduling make-up dates on to the end as it most often becomes too cold.
The makeup dates are built-in with the extra sessions.

The WHO
All area parents are welcome to register their children, 1st through 2nd grade.

Ages 6 -8, Birth years 2017, 2016, 2015

The third graders and up should register for the Recreation team play.

We also have a program for kids with differing abilities, TOPSoccer, YDProgram and Soccer Tots.

Pre-Travel and YDP registrants who are the birth year 2015 and up will be eligible to try out for a travel team for fall 2023. 
Children born in 2017 will have the opportunity to try out to "play up" for next year.
The following year they will be eligible to try out age-appropriate.

Tryouts will be held in Spring 2023 in April or May. The schedule will be posted on our website.

The WHEN

All sessions are subject to change due to weather and field conditions and COVID-19 state guidelines.

Participation Medals will be distributed on the last scheduled Saturday

1st & 2nd Grade Boys & Girls birth year 2015 & 2016, 2017 - Weekdays 6:45 pm, Saturdays, 11 am

The HOW

Equipment and Uniforms

We provide a jersey and socks. The player is expected to bring a size 3 ball, shin guards, and a water bottle. 

All players must wear shin guards so that if they are kicked in the shins they are protected.

Most children will be wearing soccer cleats, however, they are optional.

Players may wear any dark-colored shorts or long pants and shirts under their jersey for warmth if needed.

The open fields are often cooler, please dress for comfortable warmth.

We will distribute uniforms at the first few sessions.

If you would like to help us distribute uniforms please let us know at the time of registration, we always appreciate a hand

Our association will be following Federal and NJ State guidelines concerning safety guidelines and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Safer Soccer Protocol below may be adjusted to follow CDC, State of NJ, and Federal guidelines at the time the program begins in the fall.
