Hello Everyone!
Thank you all for accepting a spot onto the UFA U19G Red
Team for the 2017-2018 soccer year. This email is just to make sure
everyone is on the same page. At this point
everyone has already signed up and taken care of the uniforms so the section regarding 'Registration and Uniform is for players that have just been added to the team.
Registration : Please look for an email from UFA that
will give you instructions on how to get completely registered for the 2017-2018 soccer year and make payments.
You will also be provided
information on how to proceed with getting the uniforms as the official uniform
fitting date is past.
Uniforms: This is the 2nd year of a 2-year
uniform cycle. All players will need to
complete a uniform order. Please contact our team manager (TM)
for information regarding uniform.
Team Camp: Team Camp is the week of July 24th
– 28th, after which we will kick off our season.
There is a 5-day, 2 hours per day, mandatory camp for all players. Our sessions will run from 7pm - 9pm at Fowler
Park.
There will also be a parent/player
team meeting that week. At that time, we
will go over the fall timeline, player expectations, parent expectations,
and address any other questions and/or concerns.
Our Team Meeting will be held at Fowler
Park on the last day of camp, immediately
following the training session at 8:45pm
Practices: We will train three times week at Fowler,
the TM will send out the times and location information.

In the world of select soccer, there has to be a
balance between winning and development.
It is my goal to increase every
player's development over the course of the year.
It is important that players learn
to be passionate about the game and develop a deep love for the sport.
Players are expected to bring
their passion and commitment to training and games while working hard to improve
in all areas of the game: technically, tactically, physically and mentally
All of this and our goals for the
season will be addressed at our team meeting.
Blue Sombrero (BS) Team Page: Beginning on
signing day, we have access to our own team page in the Blue Sombrero system
The team page will allow us to
communicate from any device, share pictures/videos, house a team calendar and
much more.

Team Manager: Please join me in thanking both Emily Lee and
Maria Cummings for volunteering to be our team managers.
They will assist in disseminating
communications from the club and myself to you, the parents.
Please be sure to answer any
questions and provide the necessary documentation that they requests
in a timely manner

Communication: “UFA will only communicate player
information to the person(s) listed as primary and/or secondary account holder.” UFA is defined as: the club, you, the team
manager and/or any person relaying information that is pertinent to a minor
player. That means any person not listed on your account will either need to be
added to the account or you will need to notify the TM to add them to our
team’s distribution list.
If you need to add an additional
individual to the team’s contact list, it is the duty of the primary account
holder to notify the coach and team manager; and/or make the necessary changes
to the account holder’s UFA (Blue Sombrero) account.
Please let Emily, Maria and
myself know if you would like to include any extended family members to the team’s
distribution list.
In addition, you will need to
add them to your BS account as a secondary account holder or you may use the
primary’s additional email space. (You
may add more than 1 secondary account holder.
Note all secondary account holders will be invited to attach themselves
to the account, meaning they will have access to see payment information and
account details.)
