Tough Day for the FireHawks

The FireHawks learned the difference between the large powerhouse clubs like Cincinnati United and the teams we've been playing. The details matter and mistakes will cost you.

In the the first game of the double header, the FireHawks battled the Cincinnati United Lakota Sporting and lost 2-1. It was a winnable game vs. a beatable team but making mistakes on the offensive and defensive side of the field came back to bite the FireHawks.

In the second game, the FireHawks took on the Cincinnati United Lakota Academy (a higher division team than the Sporting). After coming out of the gates on fire and taking a 3-0 lead, the FireHawks only led 3-2 at the half. In the second half, the FireHawks continued to make little mistakes and just ran out of gas playing two tough games so close to each other. The final score was a 6-3 defeat for the FireHawks.

It has been a long time since the FireHawks lost a game and even longer time since they've lost two in a row.

The FireHawks take on NWC Black on Tuesday.
